Tara – A Love Interest for Gumby

In the 1995, The Gumby Movie introduced Tara, the blue girlfriend of Gumby. She helps save Gumby, and she dances with him in the climactic music video wrapping up the movie. Goo has had a crush on Gumby, Pokey and Prickle at various times. Now there's another blue girl on the scene.

Prickle is the series' tritagonist and is a yellow dinosaur and/or dragon, possibly a Plateosaurus, with sharp white spines. He speaks with a Midwestern accent.

Goo is the secondary tritagonist of the series. She is a blue mermaid-like girl with yellow yarn for hair, a silver bow, and the power to fly and spit balls of clay. She is a friend of Gumby and is voiced by Norma MacMillan in the late 1960s episodes and by Gloria Clokey in the 1980s episodes and in Gumby: The Movie.

Clokey's work still incorporated memories of his youth. For example: Gumby. He named the jolly green humanoid after thoughts of his grandparents' farm in the Midwest. According to GumbyWorld, little Art used to play in the farm's muddy clay, a mixture they called "gumbo."

She is a friend of Gumby and is voiced by Norma MacMillan in the late 1960s episodes and by Gloria Clokey in the 1980s episodes and in Gumby: The Movie.
